![]() I'm on page 8 for the first book, and haven't use the O'Reilly book yet. Ritchie, and also got the O'Reilly book "Practical C Programming" by Steve Oualline. I have the book "The C Programming Language" by Brian W. After all, I don't believe I need any analog pins.Ģ. The initial plan was to use the Arduino, but took it out of the plan because it seemed useless if I have the Pi. ![]() I am definitely a beginner, but do have some surface level experience working with the Pi in 2 computers classes, as well as with the Arduino. What I think might happen is once this project is complete, the IT Enterprise Systems staff can take over it, add the actual DBMS, and modify (or completely rebuild) the program as they see fit.ġ. ![]() I'd like to make this project as practical and professional in appearance and usage as possible, although it will (mostly likely) not be implemented by the end of this semester in the system due to security issues. I want to make it so all you have to do is swipe your ID and you can select which room you want to sign into on a touchscreen, as long as the database says you have access. The process is fairly tedious, uses pen and paper, and they print off a binder full of hundreds if not thousands of names each semester (not to mention minor conflicts between student and security staff). The reasoning behind it is that we students have huge workloads, and have to sign-in in the evening at the security desk. ![]() I call the system, Electronic Security Sign-In (ESS). I am currently working on my capstone project for my final year in college, and I decided I wanted to make signing into classrooms easier for future student. This project is fairly simple (code may not be), but I'll provide some background info here. The last part, I marked with a tilde, and it is where I currently stand. After the intro, I listed some important notes about the project, basically each number I would have considered a separate part of the forum, but decided to bring it all into one area (Other Projects of course). Hi everyone! I am a newcomer here on this forum, and although I've already made an introduction post in the beginners section, I'd like to consider this thread as my second introduction thread.
